Ashford to welcome Winter Paralympian Millie Knight

Millie Knight, the 19-year-old Winter Paralympian and Downhill World Champion, has been announced as headline speaker at Kent B2B Ashford, to be held at the Ashford International Hotel on June 7th.

Returning from the 2018 Paralympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea with two silvers and a bronze, Kent-born Millie will share her story of determination with delegates at the prestigious business event.

Councillor Brad Bradford, Ashford Borough Council’s Cabinet Member with portfolio responsibility for Highways, Wellbeing and Safety will also speak at the event, sharing his journey from PC to politician and providing insight into one of the most forward-thinking borough councils in the UK during the business breakfast, sponsored by Caxtons.

Taking place at Ashford International Hotel on 7 June, this longstanding annual event run by Kent Invicta Chamber provides a platform to showcase the best of Kent business.

Millie started skiing at six years old, the same time she began to lose her eyesight. She only has five percent peripheral vision and represents ParalympicsGB with a sighted guide Brett Wild from the Royal Navy.

As well as Millie’s headline slot, award-winning agency Sleeping Giant Media will put on two of their popular Giant Talks providing exhibitors and delegates with insights on best practices in the ever changing digital sphere.
