Sideways Media
Sideways Media is a publishing and creative design agency that has been located in the Ashford borough since its launch in 2010. As well as producing luxury lifestyle magazine, insideKENT, the company also offers clients contract publishing, design and video production services.
Over the past four years, the Sideways Media team has worked remotely across the county, before recently relocating to The Coachworks in the town centre of Ashford. With a largely Ashford-based team and the buzz within the town, it was a logical choice for this creative company.
Adam Ready, CEO of Sideways Media, explains why the company chose to move to Ashford: “Ashford has been a hub for us for a number of years, but we decided to move to a permanent office in the town centre. It has fantastic commuter links to the rest of Kent, which is great for distributing the magazine, and the high-speed train means we can be in London in less than 40 minutes.
“We had heard great things about The Coachworks and thought it was a great time to join the growing creative community in Ashford. There is so much happening within the town and the commercial quarter is an attractive offering for businesses looking to relocate.
“The future of Ashford is very bright. There are lots of opportunities for people coming to the town for both business and pleasure, so it is definitely being put on the map as a place to live, work and play as well as a commuter hub.”

As a keen supporter of the borough, Sideways Media has worked with Ashford Borough Council on news stories in the past and with LoveAshford on an Illuminites feature in the December 2019 issue of insideKENT. Moving forward, the company is looking forward to showcasing the town’s growing food, drink and leisure offering.
As Sideways Media settles into its new office at The Coachworks, 2020 looks positive. In July, the company will be celebrating its 10th anniversary, which it will be marking with the special 100th issue of insideKENT.
