Finalists Announced for the Kent and Medway Food and Drink Awards 2026

The finalists for the Kent and Medway Food and Drink Awards 2026 have been revealed, celebrating the restaurants, cafés, pubs and food producers that make the county one of the UK’s most vibrant culinary regions.

The annual awards presented by KM Media Group shine a spotlight on the businesses and individuals helping to shape Kent’s reputation as the “Garden of England” for food and drink.

Among this year’s finalists are several businesses from Ashford, highlighting the borough’s growing reputation as a hub for independent eateries and innovative hospitality venues. Their inclusion in the shortlist reflects the strength of Ashford’s local food scene and the support these businesses receive from the community.

The Kent and Medway Food and Drink Awards recognise excellence across a wide range of categories. These typically include honours such as Restaurant of the Year, Pub of the Year, Café or Tearoom of the Year, Chef of the Year and Rising Star.

For many small independent venues, being named a finalist is already a major achievement. Shortlisting often brings increased recognition, helping businesses attract new customers and strengthen their reputation within the county.
