Southeastern

Southeastern has played a major part in the story of Ashford’s success as a key location outside of London.

It is the UK’s first dedicated high-speed and is bringing the kind of prosperity to Kent, not seen since the railway network first rolled out during Victorian times.

Around 10.4 million passenger journeys are made each year.

Train services operated by Southeastern include journeys into London and East Sussex, managing 166 stations with 640,000 passengers every week day, making it one of the most heavily used train operating companies in the UK.

Southeastern Railway says the demand for high speed in Kent, has been ‘phenomenal’, playing a major role in the attraction of Ashford as a destination for business and home.
