Southeastern Backs EKC Group’s 100 in 100 Campaign
Posted on 31 March 2026Southeastern, a leading train operator, has proudly partnered with EKC Group’s ambitious 100 in 100 campaign, recruiting eight apprentices to join its workforce. As the county’s largest provider of further education, EKC Group supports career development across East Kent.
With six colleges and nine dedicated adult training centres, EKC Group offers a diverse range of apprenticeship programmes through its specialist EKC Training division. These programmes are designed to meet the needs of both learners and employers, ensuring robust pathways into skilled employment.
To inspire more local businesses to nurture future talent by hiring apprentices, EKC Group launched the 100 in 100 campaign. Central to this initiative is the Apprenticeship Recruitment Service—a complimentary, bespoke support package guiding employers at every step, from recruitment to ongoing apprentice support.
This service has already empowered numerous businesses to strengthen their teams, and the 100 in 100 campaign is set to drive even greater impact. Southeastern stands as one of the first major employers to endorse the campaign, committing to the recruitment of eight apprentices and setting a positive example for others in the region.
One of the most impressive things about EKC Group, is the Outstanding Ofsted inspection. The people at EKC Group and EKC Training have all been very accommodating. There’s a really nice emphasis on the apprentice, on their wellbeing, making sure they’re okay, and building the whole package around them. Each of our apprentices have come such a long way. EKC Group gives them the knowledge, we turn that into the skills.
