James & Emma Yeomans

Making the move from London to Ashford

Relocating to Ashford was a lifestyle choice for James and Emma Yeomans, and a welcome change from London.

The couple were living in south-east London and searching for their next home. Ashford’s fast rail link to London caught their attention, and looking closer, they realised the town offered so much more.

“We came to Ashford and found a beautiful house in a lovely village, within our budget and a decent commute to work,” said Emma.

“For the price of a two-bed terrace in London we found ourselves a lovely four bed home that overlooks green fields.

They purchased a house just outside Ashford in 2016 and have continued working in the Capital since. James is managing director of a south-east London based brewery and the Taproom pub chain whilst Emma commutes daily to central London – in fact the commute time is exactly the same as it was from their previous home.

So much is James and Emma’s commitment to Ashford that they have invested in growing their business here - in 2018 they opened their third Taproom, in a prime location opposite Elwick Place and County Square.

“I would highly recommend Ashford as a place to live and settle. It’s a nice place to come and start a family and build a future.”
