COVID-19 Update

Macknade at Elwick Place will reopen in early June. Opening hours to be confirmed closer to the date.

The site will be open for retail only, and offer an extended range of products, including fruits and vegetables, fresh meat, cheese, charcuterie, wine & beer, as well as a range of everyday staples.

Macknade have put some extra safety measures in place to ensure a safe shopping experience for all, including having a limited number of customers in the shop at any one time. For more information, visit their website.

What is Macknade at Elwick Place?

Macknade Elwick Place offers an all-day dining experience that takes its guest from breakfast and brunch, through to supper and cocktails in the evening.

The space includes individual and communal tables located centrally to provide a dining area where customers can engage with each other and enjoy the informal and friendly space together.

This is Macknade’s second branch in Kent, with their flagship food hall based in Faversham. Since opening in 1979, the brand has developed a strong and loyal community, which is expected to grow and flourish with this second location.

Eating in

The menus available reflect Macknade’s Kentish and Mediterranean roots, using quality ingredients, simply cooked to bring out their flavour. This includes:

Salads.
Sandwiches.
Cheese & charcuterie platters.
Meat dishes sourced and prepared by Macknade’s award-winning butchers.
Brunch is served until 3pm and dishes from The Plancha (or grill) are served from midday onwards.

Fans of Macknade’s flagship food hall can also expect café staples such as:

Freshly ground Manaresi coffee.
Home baked cakes
Scrambled eggs with crispy serrano ham.

There will also be a well-stocked bar serving local and continental wine, beer, cider, spirits and soft drinks.
