Ashford Designer Outlet is a jewel in the retail crown of Ashford and it is about to get bigger. Plans to expand the shopping village will see an extra 100,000 sq ft of shopping space bringing 50 new stores including six new restaurants.
Phase two of the development which has been in Ashford since 2000, is a great example of success breeding success, with owner McArthurGlen ready to take this retail powerhouse to the next level.
“Ashford Designer Outlet is a great location, and the expansion will mean more great designer brands at discounted prices,” says centre manager, Peter Corr. “It will also mean hundreds of new jobs.”
McArthurGlen’s success can be attributed to its fantastic location next door to Ashford International Station, ensuring it is attracting shoppers from far and wide – and just 38 minutes away by high speed rail from the capital, shoppers visit from London - as well as from Kent and across the English Channel.
The expanded outlet centre will further Ashford’s international appeal, while creating stronger links to the station with an offer that complements the town centre and is on a par with the company’s flagship outlet centres across Europe.
