Space to Grow
Ashford is the largest land mass district in the county of Kent, making it the best place to invest with incredible space for business growth. It has a well-deserved reputation for high quality development, with more than £600 million of capital investment delivered so far, and exciting plans to expand even further.
There is £519 million of investment currently underway or planned within the next five years for the town. There is the potential for over 278,000 sq m (three million square feet) of office and industrial development, providing space for companies to relocate and grow, allowing them the opportunity to create their own Ashford story.
There are currently 16 business parks in Ashford ranging from industrial units to commercial retail outlets, with office rents 73% lower than in Central London. Affordable office rent and strong sector activity makes Ashford’s business parks the perfect business destination.
Over the past few years, Ashford has created over 84,000 square metres of floor space, the largest amount of any borough in Kent. Through the development of more dynamic new business space, Ashford plans to create 10,000 new jobs, making it a thriving and dynamic business community.
Ashford’s ambitious growth plans will see key sites opened up for redevelopments in Ashford Town Centre, including Elwick Place, and Ashford Commercial Quarter both on the doorstep of Ashford International Station with 38-minute journey times to London St Pancras. These new developments will complement new business estates at Orbital Park, Eureka Business Park and future greenfield sites at Waterbrook and Sevington, which are close to the M20 motorway junctions.
